The Right to Remain Exhibits: New Funding Brings Research to Wider Audiences

We are pleased to announce the the launch of the newest chapter in the Revitalizing Japantown(?) research partnership. The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council has awarded a grant to Dr. Masuda and partners Cecily Nicholson (Gallery Gachet) and Beth Carter (National Nikkei Museum) to curate the results of the Right to Remain Community Fair and its supporting research through 2015. Dr. Aaron Franks led the grant application and continues to support the mobilization of this research, with exhibitions at Gallery Gachet starting in March, the Powell Street Festival in August, and the National Nikkei Museum starting in October.
